Your Wedding Day
It’s been months, maybe years of planning, organising, making bookings and stressing about the finest of details...
...so the last thing you want to be worried about on your wedding day is what your photographer is doing. We will meet before your wedding at least once, either in person or via video call to talk through the order of the day, we will discuss the group shots, the newlywed portraits and all the finer details, all in an effort to make sure the day is documented exactly how you imagined it and to ensure we don’t miss out an important family member during the portraits in the flurry of it all.
At the end of the day, when it’s all over, the speeches are done, the dress is put away and the cake is all gone, the best way to fully reflect on what a magical day you had is to get the photos out and have a good giggle at all the fun that was had, some of which you might not have even noticed yourselves during the whirlwind of a day.
What is a pre-wedding shoot?
... and why do you need one?
The not-so-secret ingredient to relaxed, natural wedding photos? A little practice run.
Not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera — and your wedding day isn’t the time to be figuring it all out for the first time. The day itself flies by, and we won’t have loads of time together for your couple portraits, so knowing what to expect beforehand makes a huge difference. Your pre-wedding shoot gives you the chance to get used to being photographed and to experience how I work, so by the time your wedding day arrives, everything feels easy and familiar.
It’s also a lovely way to create some meaningful memories together in the lead-up to your wedding. These sessions work best somewhere that feels like you — your favourite park, where you first met, where the proposal happened, or even a cosy café or bar you both love. If you’re not sure on a location, don’t worry — I’m always happy to help with ideas.
Pre-wedding shoots are included in my full-day package, available at a discounted rate with half-day coverage, or can be added to my by-the-hour package for £379.
Each session includes 10 digital images with matching 7x5” prints, with the option to upgrade to your full gallery. All selected images from your pre-wedding shoot are delivered in both colour and black & white.
Crafting Your Final Gallery
I’ll be the first to admit that waiting for your wedding photos isn’t the easiest part. You’ve had one of the best days of your life, and of course you’ll be excited to relive it all. But creating a gallery that truly tells the story of your day take time. Every image you receive is carefully selected and individually hand-edited, with attention to all the little details that bring your story to life. This isn’t about rushing through thousands of photos and just picking the best ones — it’s about crafting a gallery that feels timeless, natural, and completely true to you. These aren’t just photos for now; they’re part of your family’s history. The moments you’ll look back on in years to come, the ones you’ll share with future generations, and the memories that will only grow more meaningful with time. While I’m working away behind the scenes, I’ll make sure you’re not left completely in the dark, you’ll receive a handful of beautiful previews to enjoy and share not long after your wedding.
Please allow 6–8 weeks for your full online, password-protected gallery to be ready.
FAQ
Where do you photograph weddings?
I photograph weddings across Nottinghamshire, the Midlands, and surrounding counties. I have experience with a wide range of venues, from historic buildings and countryside barns and outdoor celebrations.
What is your wedding photography style?
My style is natural, storytelling, and vibrant. I focus on capturing authentic moments, emotions, and details rather than stiff posed images. The goal is to create a timeless collection of photographs that truly reflect your day.
How do we book you for our wedding?
Booking is simple. Get in touch via my contact form to check availability and discuss your wedding details. We will arrange a convenient video call where I’ll guide you through the booking process, including contracts, deposits, and planning for your big day. It is then up to you whether you think I am a good fit your your big day.
How long will you be at our wedding?
Coverage varies depending on your chosen package, typically ranging from 5–10 hours. I can capture everything from pre-ceremony preparations to evening celebrations and dancing.
Do you take group or formal shots?
Yes, but only the shots you want. If large group photos aren’t your style, I focus on candid, natural interactions and intimate portraits instead. We can plan a few key family or group shots without interrupting the flow of your day.
Can we include a pre-wedding or engagement shoot?
Absolutely. Engagement sessions are a wonderful way to get comfortable in front of the camera, capture your personalities, and use some images for your invitations or wedding website. Couples sessions are included in my full day wedding photography package, or as ad add-on to my other packages.
What if it rains or the weather is unpredictable?
No problem. I have experience photographing weddings in all types of weather and will adapt to ensure we capture beautiful images regardless of conditions. Rainy days can even create stunning, atmospheric photographs.
How long until we receive our wedding photos?
You’ll receive your beautifully edited images within 6–8 weeks of your wedding day. Each photograph is carefully curated and hand edited to ensure the highest quality and consistency.
