1. Private Booking Process with Clear Options
When you book your session with me, you’ll receive a simple client agreement form and questionnaire. During the booking process you’ll have the opportunity to opt in or out of image sharing. You can specify:
- Whether I may share your images online (website, blog, Instagram, Facebook)
- If you are happy for some images to be shared but not others
- Whether you'd prefer to approve any images before sharing
- Or if you prefer complete privacy
This gives you full control, right from the beginning. There is no pressure and no judgment, just options tailored to your comfort level.
2. Secure Digital Storage & Backups
All your images are securely stored using password-protected and encrypted cloud-based storage. My workflow includes:
- Multiple backups on physical hard drives
- Password protected storage platforms to prevent unauthorized access
- Controlled access to your galleries, only you receive the private link with the option to share amongst family & friends
- Timed gallery expiry links
When privacy is requested, I go one step further by ensuring that only essential people (me!) ever see the unedited or final images.
3. Private Online Galleries with Password Protection
Your final gallery is delivered via a private, password-protected online gallery, which you are free to share with close friends or family or keep entirely to yourself. You can:
- Choose and order your favourite images to keep forever
- Create a favourite list for your eyes only using your email address
- Download images securely when your final images are ready
I’ll never share your gallery link or password with anyone else, and I use trusted gallery providers and CRM systems that are GDPR-compliant and safe.
4. Offline and In-Studio Viewing Options
For families who are extremely privacy-conscious, I offer the option to view and select your images in person at my Mansfield studio. This is a calm, comfortable, and private setting where you can:
- View your images without going online
- Choose your favourites for final edits
- Order bespoke products such as prints, albums & gifts
- Let me know which images, if any, may be used for portfolio purposes
This option is particularly popular with families from Nottingham and Mansfield who prefer a completely offline experience. The option to book your inperson viewing appointment will be presented to you in an email after you have had your photoshoot.
5. No Sharing Without Clear Consent
I never share your images online unless you have explicitly given your permission. That includes:
- My website portfolio
- Instagram or Facebook
- Blog posts or marketing material
- Print or exhibition usage
Even if you give permission once, you can always change your mind later. Just let me know, and I’ll remove any shared content immediately.
This is about building a relationship of trust and making sure you feel safe and looked after every step of the way.

There are multiple levels of privacy I can accommodate, depending on your comfort level:
- Full Privacy - None of your images are shared anywhere, online or offline, except with you directly.
- Partial Privacy - You're happy for some images (perhaps those not showing your faces, or just the detail shots) to be shared.
- Review First - You’d like to see and approve any image before it is posted online.
