Finding your baby photographer in Mansfield, Nottingham & the East Midlands
You've had your 12 week scan and you've announced your pregnancy to the world. Hooray! And a massive congratulations from me. I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation that you and your loved ones are experiencing at the arrival of your newest little love.
You have found yourself on google searching for newborn photographers, and you have noticed there is tonnes of us all offering different things from the style in which we shoot to the packages me offer, so which one do you choose?
There are a few things to consider before choosing your photographer, after all this is such a precious time in your life, whether it's your first or fifth baby, you need to find the right person to capture these moments for you in a way you love and will cherish forever.
Are you looking for posed newborn images with props, or something more natural and simplistic?
Posing a baby with props, wraps and placing them in buckets is an option, but it is not what I do. My style of photography is relaxed and natural focusing on the connection between you and your new baby and their tiny little details. Your baby will never be this small again and I want you to be able to hold these fleeting moments in your hands forever. You may bring props or mementos along with you, but my main focus during your session with me will be to capture your new baby and this bubble of love in its everlasting glory, simply and beautifully.
Where would you like your session to take place?
In a studio, in your lovely home or outdoors? When considering the location for your newborn shoot there are only really two viable options , either in a cosy studio or in the comfort of your own home. Babies love being warm so somewhere you can crank up the thermostat is ideal. I have a wonderfully light studio in my home in Mansfield which I have carefully curated to be able to create the most perfect images of your new baby.
Where are they based?
Have a think about how far you want to travel with your newborn in order to attend your shoot. Some babies love the car, but others absolutely hate it and the travel time can have a knock on effect to how your baby feels during your session. Choose a photographer that is accessible to you and doesn't require you to undertake a lengthy car journey with a newborn.
